Your wedding day is one you’ll remember forever. But it also has the potential to be filled with stress!
So many times, we’ve seen brides show up to the venue with the best intentions, only to be immediately overwhelmed by things that could have been avoided with a little planning.
As your wedding dream team, we’ve always got your back - and your train😉 !
Today on the blog, we’re sharing our top ten tips to make your wedding day a magical experience!
Get a good night’s rest.
While you may want to party it up the night before your wedding, resist the urge to do so! We promise tomorrow’s version of you will be grateful.
Hit the hay early and try your best to get the recommended 7-9 hours of restful sleep. We know those butterflies will make it hard, which is why we say ‘try’!
Getting a good night’s rest will give you the energy to celebrate your big day. You’ll also wake up looking refreshed with less facial puffiness and eye bags.
Pro Tip: Try sleeping alone or with just one other person in the room. No need to invite the entire bridal party here!
Make a list and check it twice. And then check it again.
The morning of your wedding is going to be a whirlwind. We promise.
When you’re running around like a chicken with no head, it’s really easy to forget items that you need to bring to the venue.
To help you remember everything, jot down a list of things you need to grab in the morning.
Some items to include:
Phone charger
Bluetooth speaker
Deodorant
Make-up wipes
Perfume
Jewelry (including your rings!!!!!!!!!!!)
Mouthwash
Mints or gum
Hire a wedding coordinator!
With so many moving parts on your wedding day, you won’t want to (and can’t) manage it all.
While the venue coordinator is a resource, they are there to protect the venue. They are not there to ensure that the fine details run smoothly.
And while you could invest in help from family and friends, you want to give them the opportunity to enjoy the day, too.
Hiring a wedding coordinator will give you peace of mind that all of the details are being taken care of seamlessly.
A few examples of wedding coordination duties include:
Day-of vendor coordination
Timeline creation and execution
Bridal party management
Vendor payment distribution
And so much more!
Your wedding coordination team is there to represent you and your partner so you can celebrate the day with nothing but champagne toasts and magic!

Assign someone to handle breakfast and lunch.
You need your energy on your big day, and sipping coffee and champagne isn’t going to cut it!
Between the hair appointment and the photos, it can be really easy to forget about breakfast and lunch. But if you want to make it to the end of the night feeling fueled, you need to make them a priority!
Before the big day, assign someone the honor of ordering, handling, and delivering breakfast and lunch.
Pro tip: We don’t recommend eating anything too heavy, but having small meals will keep you going! And don’t forget the water in between mimosas and shots!
Hype yourself up with a getting–ready playlist.
You and your bridesmaids will be in the mood to party the morning of your wedding. Prepare a getting-ready playlist before your wedding day so you can pump up the jams and add to the hype!

Here are some of our favorites:
Marry You - Bruno Mars
Perfect - Ed Sheeran
Beautiful Things - Benson Boone
Nervous - John Legend
Until I Found You - Stephen Sanchez
Kiss Me More - Doja Cat
Hold Tight - Maverick City Music
A Thousand Years - Christina Perri
Enjoy pre-party alone time with your new spouse!
This is a big day that will be filled with big emotions. Take a few moments after the ceremony but before the reception to sit with your partner.
Give yourself 10-15 minutes in the bridal suite—or anywhere that offers peace and quiet. Have a snack, share your first drink together, and embrace your new life as husband and wife.
Be sure to add this to your itinerary so your wedding coordinator makes it happen!
Know how to bustle ahead of time
This is something so many brides forget! Make sure your MOH or someone in your wedding party knows how to bustle your dress. There are plenty of helpful video tutorials on YouTube. Here’s one from David’s Bridal.
Set boundaries during meal time.
While your guests are here to celebrate you, it’s okay to set boundaries so you can enjoy your day, too.
When dinner arrives, have the DJ announce that guests are not to approach you so you can enjoy your meal.

Take photos with just you and your partner.
If you have a photo booth set up, it can be difficult to swipe a turn for just you and your spouse. Everyone wants a turn with the happy couple!
Divert the attention away from the photo booth by having the DJ play a song that will get everyone out on the dance floor.
Then, you and your spouse can make your way over to the photo booth to take pictures/videos of the two of you!
Have the last dance with you and your partner.
End the night with an intimate last dance between you and your partner.
If you are having a grand exit, your wedding coordinator can get the guests outside so you can spend a few moments alone together on the dance floor.
Taking time to prepare for your big day ahead of time will make it so much easier to sit back and enjoy it! All of the tips we shared today are ones that are often overlooked but make the biggest difference. Keep them close by so you can add them to your planning process.
